Abstract
This thesis is entitled "Feminism Analysis in the 2020 Omah Njero Short Film Scenario (Sara Mills' Critical Discourse Analysis Theory)". Omah Njero is a short film directed by Gelora Yudhaswara, a director and head of the KOFPI (Ponorogo Indie Film Community) film community in Ponorogo City. This short film was successfully included in the 9 short lists for the Indonesian Film Festival (FFI) in 2020. The aim of this research is to find out how women are represented in this short film scenario, whether it is in accordance with the reality of life or the customs adopted by society or vice versa. This research uses descriptive qualitative methods with Sarra Mills' critical discourse analysis theory. From the research results, it was found that there are 7 scenes with 14 dialogs in the scenario that represent female feminism with positive and negative connotations, including that women must not be dominant and must submit to men, women who do not get married soon are called spinsters, women must not work far from home. parents, women are not allowed to express their desires and aspirations, women are not allowed to make their own decisions, and women are only allowed to stay at home taking care of the house, taking care of their parents and cooking.
