Abstract
High voltage transmission systems step down the voltage at various stages until they reach the low voltage needed for households and small businesses. Distribution transformers often experience problems such as overload, overheating, and oil leaks which can cause permanent damage. Currently, transformer monitoring and protection still uses limited methods such as fuse links. With Internet of Things (IoT) technology, transformer monitoring and protection can be improved using smart sensors that measure critical parameters in real-time. This IoT-based system enables early detection and remote monitoring, facilitating preventive action and quick response. The author proposes an IoT-based PLN Low Voltage Electric Network Transformer Condition Monitoring and Security System tool that can monitor current, voltage, temperature and oil parameters and secure the transformer by automatically disconnecting the electricity network when the temperature reaches a critical level. This tool allows PT. PLN to monitor the condition of distribution transformers in real-time through the application, increasing operational efficiency, reducing the risk of disruption, and ensuring continuity of electricity supply. System evaluation shows that this tool is capable of monitoring and protecting transformers with remote monitoring accuracy below 2%. Keywords: Security, Monitoring, Transformer, Electricity, IoT.
