Abstract
Flood is one of the disaster threats in our country that often causes people to be afraid with unpleasant feelings characterized by anxiety, phobia, or obsessiveness. Resilience is proven to be the process of avoiding negative paths related to exposure to risk factors for anxiety that occurs, because everyone has the capacity to be resilient or anxious. The purpose of this study was to identify the relationship between anxiety levels and community resilience in flood-prone areas in Paju Village, Ponorogo. The research design used is correlation with a cross-sectional approach. The entire community affected by the flood in Paju Village amounted to 400. A total of 80 respondents were found using the Slovin formula. Using purposive sampling technique. Data collection through questionnaires and data processing using statistical tests, chi square. The results of data analysis obtained mild anxiety levels of 11 respondents (23.8%), moderate anxiety levels of 7 respondents (8.8%), and severe anxiety levels of 30 respondents (37.5%), and 32 respondents (40.0%) have very severe anxiety levels. While 53 respondents (66.3%) have low resilience and 27 respondents (33.8%) have high resilience. The results of the study obtained a p�value (0.018) < (0.05) concluded that there is a relationship between anxiety levels and community resilience in flood-prone areas in Paju Village, Ponorogo Regency. The results of the study are one of the disasters that have hit the community for a long time causing psychological problems, namely anxiety. Anxiety felt by an individual can be overcome, one of which is through resilience. Keywords: anxiety levels, resilience, flood disasters
