Teaching strategies refer to the structure, system, methods, techniques, procedures, and process that the teacher uses during instruction. EFL teaching is a multifaceted activity; it has several dimensions, and it must rise to the challenge of its enhanced responsibilities: First and foremost, the responsibilities are educational but also social (to teach students to respect people of different cultural backgrounds, for example). It is the educational, social, and cultural milieu in which at least two languages and cultures meet—the language and culture of the students and of those who use the target language (English, in this case). The data was taken from observation and interview. The interview taken by the researcher when became an English teacher there for five months. The interview was taken via Facebook Messenger with the participant. The subjects of this research was an Indonesian student teacher who teach English at Muslim Wittaya Foundation School Phattalung. The method of this research was qualitative method. The data collection technique that used were observation and interview techniques. The data analysis in this research was using Field Analysis of Miles and Huberman Model. The descriptive qualitative method used in presenting the result of data analysis. The Indonesian students teacher faced many problems during teaching English at South of Thailand. The first problem was the difference of language between the teacher and the students. The problems in teaching English came from the students too. The students were indolent, less attention, less motivated, and less interested in learning English. In this case the Indonesian student teacher applied some strategies to overcome teaching problems. The teaching strategy used by the participant was mixed strategy between SIOP – SDAIE – General Strategies - Activity of Assignment and Activities Strategy. The participant takes the activities in those strategies in her teaching learning process. The using of mixed teaching strategy showed some good results for students. The students could read and answer the simple question given by the teacher. Also the number of the students who attended English class was increased. Thus, it would be better for the teachers to apply strategies in order to make the students want to learn English. The teacher also can found the other strategies which appropriate to overcome the teaching and learning problems.
