Abstract

ABSTRAC Muhammad Azamuddin Syahapala. 2024. Process of Internalizing Spiritual Values Through Scout Extracurricular Activities at SMK Negeri 1 Ponorogo. Islamic education study program. Faculty of Islamic Religion. Supervisor (I) Dr. Sharifan Nurjan, M.A; and (II) Dr. Aldo Redho Syam, M.Pd.I. Keywords: Spiritual Values, Scouting, Outdoor Learning, Indoor Learning In essence, scout extracurricular activities contain spiritual values contained in the scout dharma and scout tri satya. This can be seen from several activities both outdoor learning and indoor learning carried out by scout members, such as instilling good morals in members, carrying out religious activities according to beliefs, and polite attitudes between fellow members and scout administrators. The aims of this research are (1) to determine the process of internalizing spiritual values in scout extracurricular activities; and (2) knowing the results of the internalization of spiritual values based on scout extracurricular activities at SMK Negeri 1 Ponorogo. This research uses a case study method with a qualitative approach, namely collecting data through interviews with the activity committee and participants, direct observation of scout extracurricular activities at SMK Negeri 1 Ponorogo, and documentation in the form of pictures and documents related to the research focus. The data analysis method in this research is in accordance with the steps of Miles and Huberman, including data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions to find the best results. The results of this research are as follows. (1) the process of internalizing spiritual values in scout extracurricular activities at SMK Negeri 1 Ponorogo consists of (a) outdoor learning is an activity that aims to strengthen students' physical and mental strength. The activities consist of devotional camps, mental guidance and strengthening, and commemoration of Islamic holidays; and (b) indoor learning is an activity that aims to equip students with material before practicing and fostering student enthusiasm. The activities consist of: (a) practicing funeral prayers; (b) Qiroatul Qur'an; and (c) religious discussions. And (2) The results of the process of internalizing spiritual values through scout extracurricular activities at SMK Negeri 1 Ponorogo have an impact on two things, namely: (a) students' personalities become better, where previously students from various backgrounds were accustomed to religious values, tri satya and dasa dharma in scout activities to better understand the importance of being a good Muslim; and (b) students' morals are getting better due to students' awareness when carrying out scout activities by getting used to religious activities. As for the emphasis on outdoor and indoor activities, this is marked by changes in students' attitudes after participating in indoor and outdoor activities in scout extracurricular activities, such as polite towards teachers, tolerant towards others and others.
