Abstract

SUMMARY NURSING CARE IN THE ELIGIBILITY OF ALVI FULFILLMENT DISORDERS WITH CONSTIPATION NURSING PROBLEMS (Case Study at Wisma Shinta UPT Social Services Tresna Werdha Magetan) By : Wiji Ayuningtias ID 17613097 In elderly changes, there are always significant changes in the body and psychology, such as decreased muscle tone, weakened muscle strength, insufficient fluid intake, lack of privacy and emotional disturbances that can cause constipation in the elderly. The purpose of this case study is to determine nursing care for the elderly with constipation nursing problems with a nursing process approach. The method used by researchers is the nursing process. Nursing care for the elderly with constipation problems at Wisma Shinta UPT Panti Sosial Tresna Werdha Magetan for 1 week in December 2021. The results after nursing care for 1 week with abdominal massage intervention showed that the elderly experienced an increase in knowledge on day 3 and could perform abdominal massage actions independently. On day 4 the client performs 3 interventions independently. Some of the interventions are carried out by the elderly and are able to do it independently. Nursing care carried out by researchers, by providing education and doing abdominal massage in the elderly. It is hoped that the elderly can be motivated and do abdominal massage if they are constipated. So that the problem of constipation can be resolved. This scientific paper can be used as a reference in providing nursing care to elderly clients with constipation problems. Keywords: constipation, abdominal massage, and nursing care
