Abstract
SUMMARY NURSING CARE IN THE ELDERLY WITH PROBLEMS NURSING SELF CARE DEFICIT: BATH At Wisma Shinta UPT Tresna Werdha Magetan Social Services By: Devi Aprilia Ningtias NIM.17613019 Self-Care Deficit: Bathing is a decreased barrier to performing or fulfilling bathing/hygiene activities. Self-care deficit describes a condition of a person who experiences barriers to the ability to carry out self-care activities, such as bathing, changing clothes, eating and elimination. The purpose of this case study is to determine nursing care for the elderly with nursing problems with self-care deficits: bathing with a nursing process approach. The method used by researchers is the nursing process. Nursing care for the elderly with self-care deficit problems: bathing at the Wisma UPT Werdha Magetan social for 3 at the same time implementation, evaluation day in October 2021. The results of the study on Mrs. B, it was found that the patient had less self-care problems. This is evidenced by the patient's body being dirty and smelly and the patient does not want to take a bath, the patient always gives an excuse if he is invited to take a bath. The nursing actions provided are providing education such as patient motivation to do self-care bathing 2x a day and providing facilities such as toiletries such as soap, toothbrushes, towels and combs for patients. The evaluation of the bath self-care deficit has been resolved because the patient is able to carry out the stages of self-care independently that have been taught by the researcher Nursing care carried out by researchers, by providing education and self-care facilities for the elderly. It is expected that patients can be motivated and perform self-care independently on a regular basis. So that the problem of self-care deficit: bathing can be resolved. Conclusion from nursing care self-care deficit: Bathing is a patient experiencing a lack of motivation for self-care. Keywords: bath self-care deficit, and lack of motivation.
