Abstract

Motorcycles other than as a means of transportation, motorcycles are also used for the sake of performance. To produce a motorcycle with high performance, there are many ways that can be taken, one of the most important is by making modifications. With these new technologies, it will be easier for mechanics to do their work because of demands from consumers or the desires and mechanics themselves that continue to grow. Knowing the effect of standard exhaust and modifications on the performance of the Ninja SS 150 cc engine, this test was carried out using a dynotest, stopwatch, sound level meter. the influence of standard exhaust and modified exhaust filter holes 23 mm, 24 mm, 26 mm and 27 mm. The highest torque is 6.64 Nm, power is 8.16 HP at 9000 rpm on the modified 27 mm exhaust, compared to the standard 25 mm exhaust, the torque is 5.44 Nm, the power is 6.92 HP at 9000 rpm. The highest fuel consumption in the modified 27 mm exhaust is 1,807 kg/hour at 9000 rpm, compared to the standard 25 mm exhaust which is 1,734 kg/hour at 9000 rpm. The lowest noise level is 93.6 Db at 6000 rpm on the modified 23 mm exhaust, compared to the standard 25 mm exhaust of 94.8 Db at 6000 rpm. From this research it can be concluded that modifying the filter pipe correctly can increase torque and power but fuel consumption and noise level will increase.
