Abstract

THE RELATIONSHIP OF PERSONAL HYGIENE BEHAVIOR WITH POST PARTUM PARINEUM WOUND HEALING IN RSIA MELATI MAGETAN Destria Ardiana Putri Nursing Program, University of Muhammadiyah Ponorogo, Ponorogo, East Java, Indonesia destrialights@gmail.com Mothers giving birth with vaginal births experience perineal injuries and do not carry out personal hygiene behavior properly can affect the length of wound healing and even local infection of the wound can occur. Mothers giving birth who do not practice good personal hygiene after giving birth. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between personal hygiene behavior and post partum perineal wound healing at RSIA Melati Magetan. The reasearch design used in this research is correlation research. The research instrument used a Likert questionnaire on personal hygiene behavior and parineal wound healing with wound observation. Sampling was carried out using a consequitif sampling technique for 30 days from April 7, 2022 to May 7, 2022 with a sample size of 32 respondents. This study used Chi Square statistical analysis with p value < 0.05 with a df value of 1. The results of the study almost all respondents had good personal hygiene behavior with the condition of the perineal wound healing so that a p value of 0.006 was obtained, which means that there is a significant relationship between personal hygiene behavior and perineal wound healing at RSIA Melati Magetan. This research can be used to improve personal hygiene behavior in postnatal mothers to be better and disciplined so that parineal wound healing is in accordance with the wound healing phase.
