Abstract

Abstract The irrigation system is one of the business activities with the aim of optimizing the use of water and plant fertility, especially meeting the irrigation needs of farmers to help improve the welfare of farmers in irrigation. The development of irrigation system governance in rice fields requires technological innovation to improve irrigation quality and increase farmers' yields. Based on the results of the author's interview with Mr. Nur Cholis, a farmer in Sidorejo Village, in agriculture planting corn plants still use the conventional way, namely by moving the water hose using human power by lifting the water hose to move it to another direction for efficient alignment, the method is less efficient because it has some drawbacks. Among them are the risks of venomous animals such as snakes when moving water hoses, farmers have to move heavy loads when moving water hoses, besides that farmers must always check the leveling of irrigation in corn fields. Therefore the author designed an Automatic Irrigation System Tool on Iot-Based Corn Plants (Internet of Things). The results of the design of the tool can be concluded that the initial purpose of the design is to facilitate farmers in irrigating in increasing the effectiveness and efficiency of farmers' time and labor, as well as pump safety when water sources are running low and monitoring irrigation remotely using the Telegram application which is controlled using the Esp8266 MCU Node and sensors. water level for detecting water and also servo motor for driving stop faucet for water distribution in irrigation.
