Abstract

Persons with disabilities are people with long-term physical, mental, intellectual or sensory limitations who experience obstacles in dealing with the environment. Persons with disabilities must be given the same space and status as the general public. Among people with disabilities, the digital world is of course still a new thing and many are not yet fully aware of it. Because people with disabilities have limitations in using gadgets. People with disabilities cannot use electronic devices in everyday life because of the obstacles they face. This research aims to describe, know and understand: to determine the influence of digitalization in the idiot village of Sidoharjo Village, Jambon District, Ponorogo Regency. This research was designed using qualitative methods with the data collected not in the form of numbers, but data derived from the results of documentary interviews and observations. The research data was then analyzed using the Miles and Huberman analysis model including data collection, data reduction, data presentation and verification or drawing conclusions. Based on data analysis, it was found that digitalization in Sidoharjo Village, Jambon District has not been fully realized, especially for people with disabilities. Obstacles in the digitalization process are the condition of people with disabilities, the majority of whom are elderly, resulting in the digitalization process running slowly. Second, the Village Government does not have a special budget for teaching aids and tools to support the digitalization program in Sidoharjo Village. For people with disabilities, digitalization is not something special, because people with disabilities carry out activities they like every day without knowing about digitalization developments outside. Therefore, they tend not to be influenced by the concept of digitalization and continue to carry out activities as before.
