ABSTRACT
RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN BULLYING AND THE RISK OF VIOLENT BEHAVIOR IN ADOLESCENTS AT SMPN 2 JENANGAN PONOROGO

Adolescence is very vulnerable to various deviant and violent behaviors, one of which is bullying behavior. Bullying is an act of terror in the form of ostracizing, intimidating, and physical and mental violence. The risk of violent behavior that occurs in victims of bullying is based on several factors, one of which is not accepting what was done and wanting revenge. The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between bullying and the risk of violent behavior in adolescents at SMPN 2 Jenangan Ponorogo.
The method used in this study is correlation with a cross-sectional approach. The population in this study was 112 students from grades 7 to 9 of SMPN 2 Jenangan Ponorogo, the research sample was 54 respondents using Simple Random Sampling. Data collection was carried out by providing OBVQ and BAPQ questionnaires.
Data analysis using the Spearman test. The results of the study after the Spearman test obtained a p value of 0.000. Because the p value = 0.000 is smaller than α = 0.05, then H0 is rejected, meaning there is a relationship between bullying and the risk of violent behavior in adolescents at SMPN 2 Jenangan, Ponorogo.
This study can be concluded that preventing bullying can reduce the risk of violent behavior in adolescents by providing socialization about the impact of bullying on oneself and others.
