Abstract

ABSTRACT
Technological developments in recent years have grown rapidly and created a significant impact in various sectors, especially in the field of communications. Apart from being a means of communication, live streaminghas opportunities in various fields including education, entertainment and business. The more influence information technology has on human life, the greater the possibility of its misuse. One of the most popular abuses is gambling or betting. In essence, gambling is an act that is contrary to decency, the Pancasila moral code and can be detrimental to society, the nation and the survival of the nation. In general, this research describes law enforcement regarding gambling cases in live streamingand examines the obstacles and challenges for law enforcement in regulating gambling cases in an era that continues to develop, especially in information technology. This research uses normative research methods, where the author examines legal theory, in-depth study of case examples, and draws descriptive conclusions on the topics raised, in this case the legal regulation of gambling in live streamingis a crime in the ITE Law. In the context of live streaminggambling, the Electronic Information and Transactions Law (UU ITE) can be used as a legal basis. However, to ensure an environment free from illegal gambling in live broadcasts, changes and clarifications need to be made in the law. By interpreting the relevant provisions of the ITE Law and implementing effective preventive measures, live streaminggambling regulations can form a framework for preventing and tackling unlawful gambling activities in the digital realm. However, it should be remembered that continuous monitoring of technological developments and legal regulations is necessary to ensure the relevance and effectiveness of regulations in addressing potential new problems in the future. In enforcing the law against live streaminggambling, there are obstacles and challenges both from outside and inside. Therefore, developing the necessary technical skills, educating the public, collaborating between institutions and countries, as well as drafting regulations that are in line with technological advances can be strategies for law enforcement officials in overcoming the obstacles and challenges they face.
