Abstract

Law is an important regulation issued by the government or other institutions that governs life, relationships, and interactions in society. It plays an important role in protecting human rights and social justice, as without a legal framework, inequality and oppression can increase. The law enforcement system provides the basis for response, prevention, and sanctions against violators. The author is examining Keputusan Menteri Hukum dan Hak Asasi Manusia No: 18 of 2022 with a focus on its implementation and impact. This research purposes to increase understanding of the regulation, improve immigration services, and serve as a reference for further research, thus contributing to a more efficient immigration system. This research uses a combination of normative and empirical methods to analyze the impact of Keputusan Menteri Hukum dan Hak Asasi Manusia No: 18 of 2022 of passport. The research uses data from Kantor Imigrasi Kelas II Non TPI Ponorogo and employs theories such as Legal Positivism, Social Theory, Social Constructivism, and Legal Realism. The research emphasizes clear research questions and accurate data collection methods. Kantor Imigrasi Kelas II Non TPI Ponorogo in Indonesia implements of Keputusan Menteri Hukum dan Hak Asasi Manusia No: 18 Tahun 2022 tentang Penerapan Masa Berlaku Paspor 10 Tahun. This policy change will impact all immigration services in Indonesia, including the office. The process includes updating the system and providing technical guidance to officers. The office has contacted stakeholders to inform potential applicants. The regulation may reduce Penerimaan Negara Bukan Pajak (PNBP) due to the increased frequency of passport renewals, but may increase due to changes in the validity period. Increased surveillance of passport-holding citizens may increase the possibility of passport abuse.
