Improper feeding patterns for toddlers can have an impact on the growth of toddlers, resulting in stunting. Stunting can have an impact on reduced intelligence levels and susceptibility to disease. The aim of this research was to determine the relationship between feeding patterns and the incidence of stunting in toddlers aged 24 - 35 months at the Klanan Toddler Posyandu, Grogol Village, Sawoo District, Ponorogo Regency.
This research uses a correlative method using a cross sectional approach. The population in this study was 56 respondents. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. The instruments used were a questionnaire and height measurement using a microtoice and converted into a standardized value (z-score). Data analysis was carried out using the chi square statistical test.
The results of this research showed that of the 56 respondents, 51.8% had inappropriate eating patterns and 28.6% of toddlers experienced stunting. Based on statistical tests, the p value (0.001) < α (0.05) so it can be concluded that H1 is accepted, meaning there is a relationship between feeding patterns and the incidence of stunting in toddlers at the Klanan Toddler Posyandu, Grogol Village, Sawoo District, Ponorogo Regency.
The results of the research are expected to be an evaluation for respondents so that they can prevent stunting by providing a good and nutritional diet that can meet children's nutritional needs in the first 1000 days of life, and become evaluation material for the Community Health Center to be able to provide education to the community both for mothers pregnant women and young women regarding stunting prevention. The better the feeding pattern, the level of toddler stunting at the Klanan Toddler Posyandu, Grogol Village, Sawoo District, Ponorogo Regency can decrease.
