APPLICATION OF DEEP BREATHING RELAXATION TECHNIQUE AND OXYTOCIN MASSAGE IN POST-SCOSURE PATIENTS WITH ACUTE PAIN NURSING PROBLEMS

Caesarean section (CS) is one of the actions that can save the lives of the mother and fetus. Indications for performing a CS can be indications in the fetus, the mother or both. Post-CS pain can be caused by preoperative anxiety, a history of previous cesarean sections, incisions, and the absence of regional analgesia (Demelash et al., 2022). Deep breathing relaxation and oxytocin massage are one of the non-pharmacological pain management methods used in post-CS patients. The purpose of writing this scientific paper is to analyze the intervention of deep breathing therapy and oxytocin massage in post-section caesarean patients with pain nursing problems
This research method is a descriptive research method, namely a research method carried out with the main aim of describing a condition objectively.
The results of this study indicate that after being implemented for 5 days, the problem was partially resolved in the client, indicated by a decrease in the pain scale of 2 which was originally a pain scale of 6 before the intervention.
It can be concluded that after providing direct nursing care to Mrs. S with acute pain nursing problems related to physical injury agents in the Siti Walidah room, Muhammadiyah Ponorogo Hospital for 5 days starting from November 12, 2024 to November 16, 2024 with the application of deep breathing relaxation techniques to reduce acute pain after SC surgery
