Abstract
Nabilla Amanda Firdaus. Development of Mathematics Learning Media “PythagoraPro” Using Articulate Storyline 3 Software on Pythagorean Material. Thesis. Mathematics Education Study Program, Muhammadiyah University of Ponorogo, Supervisor 1 Dr. Sumaji, M.Pd., Supervisor 2 Wahyudi, S.Si., M.Pd. This research aims to create a good mathematics learning media “PythagoraPro” on pythagorean material and meet the criteria of validity, practicality, and effectiveness. The learning media developed uses Articulate Storyline 3 software to support students' active involvement in the learning process. It is expected that the learning media “PythagoraPro” can provide a fun and meaningful learning experience for students. Research uses the type of Research and Development (R&D) with the Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation (ADDIE) development model. The test subjects were 26 students of class VIII A Junior High School 2 Babadan. Data collection techniques in this study were observation, interviews, questionnaires, and tests. The instruments used were expert validation of materials and media to measure the validity of the materials and media produced, practicality questionnaires in the form of responses from teachers and students, and essay tests completed by students to measure effectiveness through mathematical problem-solving abilities. Data were analyzed descriptively quantitatively to determine the level of validity, practicality, and effectiveness of the developed learning media. In the trials conducted by the researchers, the validation results obtained from the subject matter expert validator were 92.85% with the category “Very Valid” and the results from the media expert validator were 96.66% with the category “Very Valid”. The results of the practicality questionnaire are 90% for teacher practicality with the category ”Very Practical” and 85.92% for student practicality with the category “Very Practical”. Meanwhile, the test results on students to measure effectiveness were 81.15% with the category “Very Effective”. Therefore, based on the results obtained, it can be concluded that the product developed in this study is a good learning media to use. Researchers suggest further development using other mathematics materials and utilizing more innovative software variations.
