Abstrak
Pada lansia biasanya akan mengalami perubahan mulai dari penurunan kondisi fisik dan kognitif. Hal ini menyebabkan sebagian besar dari lansia mengalami gangguan sistem muskuloskeletal, yang menyebabkan nyeri sendi salah satunya Rheumatoid Arthritis. Lanjut usia dengan Rheumatoid Arthritis akan mengeluh nyeri pada persendian yang biasanya timbul karena melakukan aktivitas fisik, nyeri juga timbul karena istirahat yang tidak ada hubungannya dengan masa gerakan, atau pada pagi hari ketika bangun tidur. Studi kasus ini bertujuan untuk melakukan asuhan keperawatan pada lansia Rheumatoid Arthritis dengan masalah keperawatan nyeri kronis.
Asuhan keperawatan dilakukan di Wisma Bima UPT Pelayanan Sosial Tresna Werdha Magetan selama 5 hari yaitu tanggal 12-16 Mei 2025. Metode yang digunakan adalah dengan pendekatan proses keperawatan. Hasil pengkajian didapatkan klien sudah sekitar 4 tahun memiliki riwayat Rheumatoid Arthritis dengan keluhan nyeri skala 6 pada kaki sebelah kanan mulai lutut ke atas yang terasa cekot-cekot dan susah beraktivitas. Tindakan keperawatan untuk mengatasi masalah keperawatan ini menggunakan terapi nonfarmakologis kompres hangat rebusan serai (Cymbopogon Citratus). Setelah dilakukan pemberian terapi nonfarmakologis selama 5 hari didapatkan hasil bahwa nyeri kronis yang dirasakan oleh klien mulai menurun skala 1.
Asuhan keperawatan pada klien Rheumatoid Arthritis dengan masalah keperawatan nyeri kronis diharapkan dapat menjado gambaran bagi penderita Rheumatoid Arthritis khususnya pada lansia agar dapat menerapkan kompres hangat serai secara mandiri untuk mengurangi nyeri.

Abstract
Elderly individuals typically experience changes ranging from physical and cognitive decline. This leads to a significant proportion of them experiencing musculoskeletal disorders, which can lead to joint pain, one of which is rheumatoid arthritis. Elderly individuals with rheumatoid arthritis typically complain of joint pain, typically arising from physical activity, pain that is unrelated to rest, or pain that occurs in the morning upon waking. This case study aims to provide nursing care for elderly individuals with rheumatoid arthritis who are experiencing chronic pain.
Nursing care was carried out at Wisma Bima UPT Social Services Tresna Werdha Magetan for 5 days, namely May 12-16, 2025. The method used was the nursing process approach. The results of the assessment showed that the client had a history of Rheumatoid Arthritis for about 4 years with complaints of pain on a scale of 6 in the right leg from the knee up which felt throbbing and made it difficult to do activities. Nursing actions to overcome this nursing problem used non-pharmacological therapy in the form of warm compresses with lemongrass decoction (Cymbopogon Citratus). After administering non-pharmacological therapy for 5 days, the results showed that the chronic pain felt by the client began to decrease on a scale of 1.
Nursing care for Rheumatoid Arthritis clients with chronic pain nursing problems is expected to provide an overview for Rheumatoid Arthritis sufferers, especially the elderly, so that they can apply warm lemongrass compresses independently to reduce pain.
