Abstract
ABSTRACT
This This study aims to determine the implementation of the Employment Law No. 6 of 2023 on wages in the private sector (a case study of PT. Cahaya Wira Sejahtera in Ponorogo Regency). This study aims to describe existing and applicable policies. Furthermore, this descriptive research also serves as a problem-solving procedure investigated by mobilizing and describing the research subjects and objects, including individuals, the government, and companies. After conducting in-depth interviews and observations, it was discovered that its implementation has not been fully effective and is still far from optimal. In terms of effectiveness, the law's primary objective of guaranteeing wages in accordance with the Regency Minimum Wage (UMK) and increasing transparency has not been achieved, with many employees still receiving wages below the UMK and feeling there has been no significant change in the clarity of wage calculations. This study used a qualitative approach to collect in-depth data through interviews and documentation. The research location is in Ponorogo Regency. The results indicate that the implementation of the Employment Law has not shown a significant impact on wages at PT. Wira Cahaya Sejahtera.
