Abstract

This study examines in-depth the implementation of the Islamic study program (ta'lim) held on Friday mornings and afternoons at SMPN 1 Bandar and evaluates its impact on student achievement, particularly in Islamic Religious Education (PAI).
This study aims to understand how ta'lim activities are implemented at SMPN 1 Bandar and their impact on students' Islamic Religious Education (PAI) achievement. The approach used in this study is descriptive qualitative, with data collection techniques including direct observation, in-depth interviews, and relevant documentation. The researchers interviewed several key informants, including Islamic Religious Education teachers, the principal, and several students participating in the ta'lim activities.
Data analysis techniques used included data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing, complemented by source triangulation. The results indicate that the ta'lim program is implemented routinely and continuously, with activities divided appropriately between male and female students. The material presented in the ta'lim focuses on strengthening religious values, developing religious character, and implementing noble morals in daily life. The ta'lim activities on Friday mornings and afternoons have been proven to have a positive impact on improving learning achievement in Islamic Religious Education subjects, as evidenced by an increase in students' report card grades.
