This study aims to elaborate on the religious character education of students at SMP Islam Terpadu Bakti Ibu Kota Madiun. It discusses the planning of religious character education, its implementation, and the evaluation results of religious character education at SMP Islam Terpadu Bakti Ibu Madiun.
The research approach used in this study is descriptive qualitative. The research was conducted at SMP Islam Terpadu Bakti Ibu Kota Madiun from May to July 2025. The subjects were students, teachers, and parents. Data collection methods included documentation, interviews, and observation. To ensure data validity, triangulation techniques were employed, namely methodological triangulation and source triangulation. The data analysis techniques used were data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and verification.
The findings of this study indicate that religious character education at SMP Islam Terpadu Bakti Ibu Madiun is implemented through the integration of the national curriculum and the Integrated Islamic School Network (JSIT) curriculum into subjects, self-development activities, and school culture or environment. The implementation of religious character education is carried out both inside and outside the classroom. The evaluation results of religious character education have shown a positive change in students’ character.
