Abstract

Abstract

Borrowing of work tools at the Central Tool Warehouse of PT INKA is still done manually, so that there are often errors in recording and delays in returning tools. To overcome this, an RFID-based borrowing system is designed that is integrated with WhatsApp message notifications. This study uses an integrated hardware and software design approach, utilizing RFID modules (MRC522), RTC (DS1307), Arduino Mega, and ESP8266 (Wemos D1 Mini). The system automatically reads the user and tool identity, records the borrowing time, and sends WhatsApp notifications via the UltraMsg API. The test results show that the system is able to work accurately in reading data, recording time, and sending WhatsApp messages containing the name, NIP, borrowing time, and a list of borrowed tools. This system improves the efficiency, accuracy, and supervision of the tool borrowing process.
