Abstract
ABSTRACT
The aims of this research are: (1) To know and describe the forms of life skills education in the boarding program for students at the Baitul Qur'an Mlarak Ponorogo Islamic Boarding School, (2) To know and describe the implementation of the formation of life skills education in the boarding program for students at the Baitul Qur'an Mlarak Ponorogo Islamic Boarding School, (3) To know and describe the supporting and inhibiting factors in the implementation of the formation of life skills education in the Boarding Program for Students at the Baitul Qur'an Mlarak Ponorogo Islamic Boarding School.
This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with observation, interviews, and documentation methods. It aims to focus on the core of the research by describing the research based on actual conditions in the field. In this case, the researcher will describe the forms of life skills education implementation, as well as the supporting and inhibiting factors in the implementation of life skills education.
This study found several findings that are important in answering the focus and objectives of the study, namely: (1) the forms of life skill education in the boarding program of the students of the Baitul Qur'an Children's Boarding School are a) Personal Life Skill b) Social Life Skill Education c) Academic Life Skill Education and d) Vocational Life Skill. (2) The Implementation of the Formation of Life Skill in the Boarding Program of the Students of the Baitul Qur'an Children's Boarding School are a) providing lessons in both general and religious materials referring to the government curriculum and internal curriculum b) habituation, namely by getting the students used to good things such as praying on time, discipline and so on and c) assignments, namely by providing opportunities for the students to form their life skill such as joining organizations, namely room administrators, OPPAS, mandatory dormitory activities, namely scouts, language provision programs such as providing vocabulary, muhadatsah, muhadloroh, as well as supporting activities such as extracurricular activities, memorizing the Al-Qur'an, the Sholeh Children's Market, Six Show. These three stages are carried out according to the characteristics and life skills that are to be developed.
