Religious character education has an important role in shaping the personality of students with noble character I accordance with the values of Islamic teachings through extracurricular activities muhadhoroh. This activicty can familiarize students to speak well, train their courage, and strengthen Islamic values in every day life. This study describes the implementation of muhadhoroh activities, the implementation of muhadhoroh activities as a medium of religious character education, supporting factors, inhibitors, and how big the implications of muhadhoroh activities as a medium of religious character education for students at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Minhajul Muna Ngrayun Ponorogo.
This study uses a qualitative approach to the type of descriptive research. Data obtained throught observation activities, in-depth interviews, and documentation with muhadhoroh guidance teachers, Islamic Religious Education teacher, and learners as a source of data. Data analysis was carried out with the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion, while the validity of the data was tested using triangulation techniques and teachiques.
Based on the results of the study, it is known that the implementation of extracurricular activities muhadhoroh in Madrasah Tsanawiyah Minhajul Muna runs consistently as a medium of religious character education. Through religious habituation and example, learners actively listen, record, listen to speech so that te value of obicience, discipline, responsibility, manners, and tolerance can be instilled. Support, discipline of students, senior teacher support, long-term targets, as well as religious madrasah environment. Inhibition, difficult to memorize in Arabic-English, nervousness, lack of confidence, difficult to determine the limited facilities, monotonous speech text. The impact is that learnes become articulate, able to increase religious knowledge, strengthen mentally. With this, muhadhoroh activities in addition to forming confidence can also form attitudes, positive behavior to support religious life in madrasas and communities.
