Providing a balanced nutritional diet is one factor that plays a role in supporting toddler growth by meeting age-appropriate nutritional needs. Inappropriate nutritional diets can increase the risk of growth disorders. This study aims to analyze the relationship between providing a balanced nutritional diet and toddler growth at the Integrated Service Post (Posyandu) ILP in Karangan Village, Badegan District, Ponorogo Regency.
This study used a quantitative correlational design with a cross-sectional approach. The study population consisted of 35 toddlers aged 36-59 months and their guardians, using a total sampling technique. Data on balanced nutritional diets were collected using a Food Frequency Questionnaire (FFQ), while toddler growth was measured using weight-for-height (BW/H). Data were analyzed using Spearman Rank Test with a significance level of α = 0.05. The Spearman Rank Test yielded a p-value of 0.003 (p<0.05), indicating a significant relationship between providing a balanced nutritional diet and toddler growth. These results suggest that the implementation of a balanced nutritional diet needs to be improved to support optimal toddler growth.
The conclusion of this study is that there is a relationship between providing a balanced nutritional menu and toddler growth at the Integrated Health Service Post (Posyandu) ILP in Karangan Village, Badegan District, Ponorogo Regency.
