IMPLEMENTASI PENDIDIKAN KARAKTER RELIGIUS PESERTA DIDIK MELALUI HABITUASI NILAI KEISLAMAN DI MADRASAH IBTIDAIYAH NEGERI 3 MAGETAN

This study aims to describe and analyze the implementation of religious
character education through religious habituation practices among students at
Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri 3 Magetan. Religious character education plays a
crucial role in shaping students’ moral personality, especially in the face of
globalization challenges and moral degradation. Therefore, madrasahs have a
strategic role in instilling religious values through various habituation activities.
This research employed a qualitative approach with a case study design.
Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation.
The data sources included the head of the madrasah, teachers, and students. Data
analysis was conducted through data reduction, data display, and conclusion
drawing, while data validity was ensured through source and technique
triangulation.
The results of the study indicate that the implementation of religious
character education through religious habituation is carried out through various
activities, such as congregational prayers, Qur'an recitation (tadarus), collective
prayers, habituation of polite behavior, and other religious activities integrated
into daily routines. The developed religious character values include faith, piety,
discipline, responsibility, and honesty. Supporting factors include teachers’
commitment, a conducive school environment, and well-structured programs.
Meanwhile, inhibiting factors include diverse student backgrounds and a lack of
awareness among some students.In conclusion, religious habituation is an
effective strategy in instilling and developing students' religious character.
Therefore, synergy among the madrasah, teachers, and parents is necessary to
enhance the sustainable implementation of religious character education.
