Hubungan Antara Dukungan Sosial Keluarga Dengan Tingkat Stres Pada Pasien Hipertensi Di Desa Krowe Kecamatan Lembeyan Kabupaten Magetan

Hypertension is one of the most prevalent chronic diseases worldwide, including in rural areas of Indonesia. Beyond medical factors, psychological conditions such as stress serve as significant variables influencing the progression of the disease. Family social support is believed to act as a protective factor capable of mitigating stress levels in hypertensive patients. This study aims to analyze the relationship between family social support and stress levels among hypertensive patients in Krowe Village, Lembeyan District, Magetan Regency. The study employed a quantitative approach with a correlational design. The research subjects consisted of 60 hypertensive patients selected via purposive sampling based on established inclusion criteria. Data were collected using a family social support scale questionnaire (based on Friedman's dimensions) and a stress level scale (based on Cohen's aspects). Data analysis was conducted using the Pearson Product Moment correlation test with the aid of SPSS. The results showed a correlation coefficient of -0.499 with a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05), indicating a significant negative relationship between family social support and stress levels among hypertensive patients. The higher the family social support received by the patient, the lower the stress level experienced. These findings highlight the importance of
involving the family in the holistic management of hypertension, addressing both medical and psychosocial aspects.
