KONSEP PENDIDIKAN AGAMA ISLAM MENURUT IBNU JAMA’AH DAN RELEVANSINYA DI ERA MODERN (STUDI ANALISIS KITAB TADZKIRAH ASSAMI’ WA AL-MUTAKALLIM FI ADAB AL-ALIM WA AL MUTA’ALLIM)

The decline of the Muslim community serves as an indicator of the poor quality of Islamic religious education in the modern era, prompting education experts to conduct evaluations. One effort to improve the quality of Islamic religious education is to study the concepts of Islamic education from its golden age. One such concept is the Islamic religious education philosophy of Ibn Jama'ah, found in his book, Tadzkiratuh As-Sami' wa Al Mutakallim Fi Adabi Al 'Alim wa Al Muta'allim.
This research aims to examine the concept of Islamic religious education according to Imam Ibn Jama'ah using a qualitative literature review method. The study explores the educational thoughts and methods proposed by Ibn Jama'ah by analyzing his book, Tadzkiratuh As-Sami' wa Al Mutakallim Fi Adabi Al 'Alim wa Al Muta'allim, and other related sources. The author categorized his concepts into several aspects and then compared them with the current conditions and regulations in Indonesia.
The findings indicate that the Islamic religious education methods developed by Ibn Jama'ah are holistic, integrating intellectual, moral, and spiritual aspects. These methods remain relevant for modern education because they can shape students who are not only intellectually intelligent but also possess noble character and piety. In conclusion, Ibn Jama'ah's concept of Islamic religious education offers a comprehensive and contextual approach to the development of religious education in the modern era.
