In elementary school teaching practices, the process of memorizing hadiths and prayers is often still carried out using conventional, teacher-centered methods. This situation causes students to easily become bored and unmotivated in their learning. The objectives of this study are to (1) identify the results of a limited pilot test of the memorization book developed for 4th-grade students at Ibnu Abbas Elementary School in Kendari, and (2) identify the needs of teachers and parents regarding the hadith and prayer memorization book used in Islamic Religious Education at Ibnu Abbas Elementary School in Kendari.

The method used in this study was research and development (R&D) with the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) model. The ADDIE model was chosen because it provides a systematic, flexible, and user-oriented development framework, making it suitable for use in developing hadith and prayer memorization books. Research data were collected through a Google Form-based questionnaire administered to students, parents, class teachers, and memorization teachers. The questionnaire data were analyzed descriptively to identify user needs and responses, while product effectiveness was analyzed quantitatively through statistical tests.

The results of quantitative research using a limited trial with One Sample t-Test obtained a significance value of 0.000 (<0.05) with an average post-test value of 47.5897 which far exceeds the reference value. Descriptively, the results of the questionnaire show that the developed memorization book is able to help overcome student boredom in memorizing and increase learning interest. The book design that integrates attractive visual aspects, illustrations, and systematic materials makes memorization activities more enjoyable and focused according to the responses of students, parents, and teachers.
