"HUBUNGAN USIA DENGAN KEJADIAN HIPOTENSI INTRADIALIS DI RUANG HEMODIALISA RSU 'AISYIYAH PONOROGO"

Intradialytic hypotension (IDH) is one of the most common complications of hemodialysis in clinical practice, with the average age of patients being older. Age is a factor that indicates that the older a person is, the greater the risk of experiencing intradialytic hypotension. This is due to the increasing frequency of Cardiovascular Disease (CVD) with aging. Furthermore, arterial stiffness in the elderly results in changes in the vascular response to decreased plasma volume. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between age and intradialytic hypotension in the Hemodialysis Room of ‘Aisyiyah Ponorogo Hospital.
The method used was correlational descriptive with a Cross Sectional design with a Purposive sampling technique with a sample size of 45 respondents undergoing hemodialysis in the Hemodialysis Room of RSU 'Aisyiyah Ponorogo. This study used an observation sheet instrument consisting of respondent demographic data, a blood pressure observation sheet, and informed consent. This study was conducted for 5 days in the hemodialysis room of RSU 'Aisyiyah Ponorogo. Bivariate data analysis to test whether there is a difference or relationship between hemodialysis variables and the incidence of hypotension used the fisher exact.
The results of this study of 45 respondents, almost half (42%) (19 respondents were aged between 46 and 65 years, meaning that increasing age can potentially experience intradialysis hypotension. Some (23 respondents) experienced intradialysis hypotension in the acute category. The results of the fisher exact calculation using SPSS obtained a sign-negative result of 0.061 (> 0.05), indicating there is no relationship between age and intradialysis hypotension. The conclusion of this study shows there is no relationship between age and the incidence of intradialysis hypotension in hemodialysis patients in the Hemodialysis Room of RSU 'Aisyiyah Ponorogo.
