NURSING CARE OF DIABETES MELLITUS PATIENTS WITH BLOOD GLUCOSE LEVELS INSTABILITY NURSING PROBLEMS
(Case Study in Dr. Harjono Hospital, Ponorogo Regency)

Instability of blood glucose levels in patients with diabetes mellitus is a recurring nursing problem and if it is not handled properly and correctly blood sugar levels can continue to increase resulting in complications. This case study aims to provide nursing care for patients with Diabetes Mellitus with unstable blood glucose levels.
Nursing care for Diabetes Mellitus patients is carried out at RSUD Dr. Harjono, Ponorogo Regency for 4 days, namely May 17-20 2023. The method used is a case study design, namely the nursing process approach.
The results of the study found that the patient complained of a lump on the left inner thigh, body feeling weak, frequent urination, high blood glucose level of 367 mg/dL and not routinely controlled. Nursing actions taken to overcome this problem are providing education about balanced nutrition with the 3J diet (type of food, amount of food, and meal schedule). After nursing actions for 3 days, the results of stable blood glucose levels increased with the initial GDA of 367 mg/dL and the last day's GDA of 295 mg/dL.
Nursing care in patients with diabetes mellitus with unstable blood glucose levels is expected to be an illustration for future researchers, especially in the treatment of patients with unstable blood glucose levels.
