Abstract
Feeding and drinking broiler chickens manually is very time-consuming and energy-intensive for farmers, especially when maintenance is carried out on a large scale. This study aims to design an automatic feeding and drinking tool for chicken farmers to help fulfill nutrition and drinking water quality in broiler chickens with information on feed runs out through the blynk application. The way this tool works is to provide feed according to a predetermined time setting through the RTC with a feed weight value that can be adjusted so that the feeding process can be given according to the chicken's nutrition. Notifications will appear on the blynk application via the farmer's smartphone connected to the internet connection, when the feed in the storage area has run out. Provision of drinking water in this tool will be in accordance with the quality of drinking water required, meaning drinking water will be given if the temperature of the drinking water read by the ds18b20 sensor is in the range of 22-250C with the acidity level of the water read by the PH sensor ranging from 6.5-7.2. From testing this tool for 4 days at Mr. Siswanto's chicken farm in Bareng Village, Jombang Regency, the results obtained by providing feed according to nutrition and good drinking water quality in raising broiler chickens resulted in greater chicken weight compared to manual rearing with a weight difference of 2.5 grams to 18.5 grams.
