TKIT 1 Qurrota A’yun Ponorogo. Thesis. Department of Early Childhood
Education, Muhammadiyah University of Ponorogo. Advisor 1 Dr. Bambang
Harmanto, M. Pd, Advisor 2 Muhammad Azzam Muttaqin, M. Pd.
Creativity is one aspect of development in Early Childhood that needs
attention from an early age. Creativity itself is the ability possessed by a person
where he is able to create a work or be able to express ideas that have never existed
before. To increase children's creativity, a teacher is needed. At TKIT 1 Qurrota
A'yun Ponorogo researchers found creativity problems, such as children who were
still not able to do the activities given by the teacher which activities were to
increase children's creativity, children were still not able to find solutions when
children were in problems such as children not wanting to clean up toys which he
shed. So that the role of the teacher is needed so that there is achievement of
development indicators, especially the creativity of early childhood.
This study aims: 1) To describe the profile of early childhood creativity at
TKIT 1 Qurrota A'yun Ponorogo, 2) To describe the role of the teacher as educator
and teacher in enhancing early childhood creativity at TKIT 1 Qurrota A'yun
Ponorogo, 3) To describes the role of the teacher as a coach and model in building
early childhood creativity at TKIT 1 Qurrota A'yun Ponorogo. This studyuses a type
of qualitative research. Data collection techniques used the observation method at
TKIT 1 Qurrot A'yun Ponorogo, interviews with school principals and class A3
teachers and documentation. The data analysis used is the Miles and Huberman
model, namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions.
The results of this study are: (1) Profile of early childhood creativity in
TKIT 1 Qurrota A'yun Ponorogo In general, the creativity of children in class A3
TKIT 1 Qurrota A'yun Ponorogo is in the developing category according to
expectations, but there are still some children who need stimulus from surrounding
people such as parents and teachers. (2) The role of the teacher as an educator and
teacher in increasing the creativity of early childhood at TKIT 1 Qurrota A'yun
Ponorogo is to stimulate imagination, free children to be creative, give praise to
children, provide activities through videos. (3) The role of the teacher as a trainer
in increasing the creativity of early childhood at TKIT 1 Qurrota A'yun Ponorogo
is that the teacher provides training, direction, and motivates children and the
teacher practices activities for children. while the role of the teacher as a model is
to provide an example for students and society such as speaking kind words and
behaving politely.
