Facing the ever-evolving phenomenon of changing times, children are also vulnerable to being affected in many ways. This includes their education and their religious beliefs. As a result, now many children have bad behavior, some of them are even involved in deviant acts which eventually face legal consequences. This research originates from Indonesian state laws as well as cases that have occurred, and uses a normative method. The results of this study discuss the effectiveness of diversion to protect the rights of children who are dealing with criminal cases so that they do not feel pressured to continue in normal life.
