Abstract

Susi Octavia. The Role of Actors in the Development of Selur Tourism
Villages. Thesis. Pancasila and Citizenship Education Study Program,
Muhammadiyah University of Ponorogo. Supervisor I Dr. Ardhana Januar

Actors have a very important role in the process of developing tourist
villages towards better development. This research has the objectives of 1)
Knowing the role of actors in the development of the Selur Tourism Village. 2) Find
out what obstacles were experienced in the process of developing the Selur Tourism
Village.
This research uses a qualitative method with a case study approach, data
collection techniques through observation, interviews and documentation. The
informants were the Head of Selur Village, Head of RT 02 RW 02 Dukuh Krajan,
members of the United Youth Community for Building Ngrayun (PBM), members
of Karang Taruna, social media admin of Selur Village, Education and Research
Community. Meanwhile, the data analysis technique used is a model developed by
Noeng Muhajirin.
The role of actors in Selur Tourism Village Development is dominated by
three actors, namely the village government, local communities and mass media.
This is proven by the involvement of third actors in tourism development with a
commitment to the welfare of the community, then having a high level of
commitment and awareness to contribute to the maintenance of tourist attractions
and the obligation to carry out promotion and branding of tourist attractions. And
there is one actor who has a passive role in the development of the Selur Tourism
Village, namely the education and research community.
Then there are two obstacles that occur in the process of developing tourist
villages, the first is the lack of funding for developing tourist villages, and the
second is the low level of human resource skills in the process of developing tourist
villages.
