Character education is closely related to moral education, including training and
consistently forming a person's abilities in order to perfect themselves in a better
direction. Character learning can be channeled through the Novel Ranah 3 Warna
as a source of motivation that can be found through the various character values
contained in it.
This research aims to: 1) Identify the educational values contained in the Novel
Ranah 3 Warna, 2) Analyze the values of character education from Thomas
Lickhona's perspective. This writing uses a qualitative approach with a type of
library search, where various library information sources are used as search
objects. The steps include collecting research materials, literature research,
recording research results, and data analysis using the content analysis method.
The data collection method used is the document method. The approach used is
qualitative and the type of search is carried out through library searches. The
methods used include collecting research material, reading references, recording
research results and evaluating research notes. The content analysis method was
applied in analyzing the data.
The results of this research show: 1) The values of tolerance, discipline, religion,
independence, creativity, hard work, democracy, peace, nationalism, mutual
respect, perseverance, tenacity, perseverance, environmental awareness and
responsibility can be seen in behavior, speech , and dialogue of the characters. in
the 3 Color Realm. 2) Character education in the novel Ranah 3 Warna from
Thomas Lickhona's perspective covers three components of goodness, namely
moral knowledge, appreciation of feelings and moral behavior.
