SCIENTIFIC WRITING: MENTAL NURSING CARE FOR SCHIZOPHRENIA PATIENTS WITH SENSORY PERCEPTION DISORDERS: AUDITORY HALLUCINATIONS

Auditory hallucinations are one of the symptoms experienced by schizophrenic patients, auditory hallucinations occur when hearing sounds that are considered different from the mind. Voice content is threatening and offensive, often asking the client to take actions that can harm the client or others. The purpose of writing this scientific paper is to provide nursing care for schizophrenic patients with auditory hallucinations which includes assessment, data analysis, diagnosis, intervention, implementation and mursing assessment.
Nursing care is carried out in Ward Larasati at RSJD Dr. Arif Zainudin Surakarta over four days in February 2024. The nursing process method was used.
From the results of the study, it was found that the client experienced auditory hallucinations. After performing nursing care using the implementation strategy (SP), in SP 1 the client was able to control his hallucinations by rebuking and distraction by listening music. In SP 2, the client can control his hallucinations by taking medication regularly. In SP 3, the client can control his hallucinations by conversing with other people. In SP 4, the client can control his hallucinations by performing scheduled activities and do deep breathing realaxation. In doing how to control hallucinations, clients are assisted and reminded by nurses, clients are able to control hallucinations properly and correctly with the help of nurses. After the implementation strategy was carried out on schizophrenic clients with nursing
problems, auditory hallucinations were reduced.
This nursing care is expected to increase the client's knowledge with the aim of controlling the client's hallucinations.
