NURSING CARE FOR ELDERLY DISORDERS OF PAIN AND COMFORT WITH CHRONIC PAIN NURSING PROBLEMS
(Case Study at UPT Social Services Tresna Werdha Magetan)

Chronic pain is pain that often occurs in the elderly and persists over a period of time. This pain lasts beyond the expected healing time and often cannot be linked to a specific cause or injury. This pain lasts for six months or more. The aim of this research is to provide nursing care to clients who experience chronic pain.
The method used is a problem solving method with a nursing process approach including assessment, diagnosis, intervention, implementation and evaluation. Nursing care for the elderly with pain and comfort disorders with chronic pain nursing problems for 3 days, namely 07-09 February 2024
The results of the focus data study obtained on Mrs. S experienced complaints of pain in both knees, which lasted approximately 2 years and came and went, resulting in a nursing diagnosis of chronic pain. From this analysis, intervention is carried out, namely pain management. After implementation, Mrs. S's evaluation results were obtained, namely that the problem was resolved.
It is hoped that nursing care for the elderly will be able to control pain using non-pharmacological techniques that have been carried out by researchers.
