Abstract
Abstract - The development of the delivery service industry has experienced significant growth in line with the high level of human mobility in the era of globalization. Goods delivery services are crucial, especially in the context of online buying and selling services driven by e-commerce. Despite the increasing use of these services, various problems in the delivery process still exist, often caused by the sender. The most common problems include high shipping costs, uncertain delivery times, and damage or loss of goods. This research presents innovation through the development of a Face Detection-Based Package Receiving Smartbox as an Effective Solution for Preventing e-commerce Package Theft. This system is able to take photos and detect faces to open the door of the package receiving box using the Esp32 cam module which will then be sent to the user via the Telegram application. Users can also control the system via commands sent from the Telegram application to monitor the security of the smartbox, the number of packages, and move the door lock solenoid which is the driver for opening and closing the door of the package receiving box so that packages can be stored inside. Test results show that the system can accurately process registered courier faces, detect packages in boxes, and report box status via the Telegram application. This research contributes to creating a modern security solution for package recipients by utilizing face detection technology and ultrasonic sensors.
