Abstract

Getting adequate food according to nutritional needs is one of the rights of correctional inmates in correctional institutions and state detention centers. Regulation of the Minister of Law and Human Rights of the Republic of Indonesia Number 40 of 2017 is a guideline for providing food for prisoners, children and convicts. This research aims to find out how food is organized at the Madiun Class II A Youth Correctional Institution. The type of method applied in this research is Empirical Juridical research. Research using this method was carried out to explore the facts in the field and their relevance to the existing theoretical basis. Data collection was carried out by direct observation in the food supply section of the Madiun Class II A Youth Prison by monitoring the food preparation process in the kitchen. Data and information collection was also carried out by interviewing officers and inmates at the Madiun Class II A Youth Prison. The results of this research are that the process of providing food in the Madiun Class II A Youth Prison is in accordance with applicable regulations. The inmates stated that they were satisfied with the food provided. Inmates: The cleanliness of the kitchen and surrounding areas has also been well maintained so that the quality of the food produced remains good for the body.
