This study examines how the implementation of disciplinary punishment for prisoners with a case study at the Class IIB Ponorogo State Detention Center. This study will focus on how the implementation of disciplinary punishment is and what obstacles are faced in the process of implementing disciplinary punishment at the Class IIB Ponorogo Detention Center. In this study, the author uses a normative research method that focuses on document analysis. Secondary data used include legal references, laws and regulations, court decisions, legal theories, and opinions of legal scholars. The normative approach in this study aims to find legal rules, legal principles, and legal doctrines that can provide answers related to the problems studied. The conclusion of this study is that the implementation of disciplinary punishment at the Class IIB Ponorogo Detention Center is in accordance with the applicable standard rules. Technically, the implementation of disciplinary punishment at the Class IIB Ponorogo Detention Center does not encounter significant obstacles. Obstacles in its implementation come from the individual prisoners who still decide to commit violations even though they have been provided with socialization.
