Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the impact of the implementation of the immigration fostered village program in the work area of the Class II Non-TPI Ponorogo Immigration Office which is known as the "Immigrant barn" so that all people in the work area of the Class II Non-TPI Ponorogo Immigration Office are protected from the Crime of Human Trafficking and the Crime of Human Smuggling. This study was conducted based on the scope of immigration law using empirical research methods where data was obtained from field observations and interviews with direct officers. The results of the study showed that the existence of the Immigration Fostered Village program and Village Fostering Immigration Officers greatly assisted the main tasks and functions of Immigration in the field of immigration supervision, especially in preventing the presence of Non-Procedural Indonesian Migrant Workers. However, at the Class II Non TPI Ponorogo Immigration Office, there were obstacles in the form of a lack of Human Resources which could have an impact on the quality of the implementation of the Immigration Fostered Village program in its work area.
