Abstract

his research focuses on the ability to recognize premathematics concepts using number tree card
media. The problem in this research is what is the learning anagement pattern for KPA media (numbertree cards) for the ability to recognize pre-mathematics concepts. The aim of this research is to determine the ability to recognize pre-mathematics concepts using number tree card media and to find out how to use this media. This type of research is qualitative research with a case study method at RA
Aisyiyah Sidorejo Japan. Data collection methods are carried out through observation, interviews and
documentation. The results of the research show that the ability to recognize pre-mathematics concepts
using number tree cards goes through three stages, namely the planning stage, implementation stage
and evaluation stage. KPA media (number tree cards) is a simple media made from cardboard containing
images of trees and numbers as well as cotton butts as a tool to symbolize the number of objects. The
development of the ability to recognize pre-mathematical concepts through the media of number tree
cards shows that children are able to name numbers sequentially from 1 to 10, children recognize the
number of objects, children show understanding of one-to-one correspondence in concrete objects,
