Abstract

Afifah Khoirianis. Strengthening Compassion and Love for God's Creation Through Outing classes at the Ndalem Kerto Educational Tourism Site. Thesis. Teacher Education Study Program Early Childhood Education, Muhammadiyah University of Ponorogo. Supervisor 1 Dr. Syarifan Nurjam, M.A., Supervisor 2 Dian Kristiana, S.Pd., M.Pd.
This study aims to describe the strengthening of compassion and love for fellow God's creations through Outing class activities at Eduwisata Ndalem Kerto.
This research is a qualitative descriptive study. Data collection techniques used were observation, interviews, and documentation. The instruments used for data collection included observations of the implementation of Outing classes to strengthen compassion and love for fellow God's creations in early childhood, interviews with the management regarding the Outing class concept at Ndalem Kerto Eduwisata, interviews with facilitators regarding the Outing class concept in strengthening compassion and love for fellow God's creations in early childhood, and documentation of participant attendance, modules, and books for the Ndalem Kerto Educational Tourism Outing class. Data analysis techniques used were data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. Triangulation techniques were used to validate the findings.
The research results show that the Ndalem Kerto Educational Outing class activity effectively fosters early childhood love for God's creation through Piaget and Vygotsky's constructivist approach, which emphasizes direct interaction with nature. Learning modules such as peacock introduction, fish interaction, gardening, and goat introduction are designed to encourage direct experience (experiential learning). Interactive activities such as feeding fish and planting plants naturally foster children's empathy and responsibility for living things and the environment, while also forming an emotional bond with nature as God's creation. This approach ensures a focus not only on cognitive aspects, but also on character building, with facilitators as role models in respecting and caring for God's creation. Supported by thorough preparation and the Ndalem Kerto environment, these activities significantly contribute to the formation of children's characters who care and are responsible for nature and all its contents, reflecting the strengthening of compassion and love for fellow God's creations in every aspect of learning.
