Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine how the financial performance of PT Garudafood Putra Putri Jaya Tbk in 2020-2024 using the Economic Value Added (EVA) and Market Value Added (MVA) methods. The data used in this study are secondary data in the form of the annual financial report of PT Garudafood Putra Putri Jaya Tbk in 2020-2024 obtained by accessing the official website of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). This type of research is included in descriptive qualitative research. The results of the study show that the financial performance of PT Garudafood Putra Putri Jaya Tbk in 2020-2024 based on the Economic Value Added (EVA) method looks quite good, this is shown that during the five-year period, namely from 2020-2024, the Economic Value Added value is more positive or more than zero, meaning that the company is quite capable or successful in generating economic added value for the company, even though in 2020 the Economic Value Added is negative or EVA is less than zero. Because in 2020 the amount of net profit is lower compared to other years. Meanwhile, PT Garudafood Putra Putri Jaya Tbk's financial performance from 2020 to 2024, based on the Market Value Added (MVA) method, also appears strong. This is demonstrated by a consistently positive Market Value Added (MVA) value, or MVA greater than zero, for five years, although this value has decreased due to its declining market value. A positive Market Value Added value, or MVA greater than zero, indicates the company's success in increasing shareholder wealth.
