Abstract
The phenomenon of international labor migration has become an important part of global economic dynamics. This study aims to analyze the influence of economic motivation, education level, and social factors on individuals' decisions to become Indonesian Migrant Workers (PMI), with an empirical study of prospective PMI who participated in training at LPK YTC Ponorogo.
This study employs a quantitative approach using a survey method with 109 respondents selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected via questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression. The analysis results show that the three independent variables—economic motivation, educational level, and social factors—have a significant influence, both partially and simultaneously, on the decision to become an PMI. Among the three variables, educational level has the most dominant influence. This finding is reinforced by an adjusted R² value of 87.2%, indicating that this research model has high predictive power.
