Abstract

The Manco Cake business is one form of MSME (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises) based on traditional culinary products that has developed in Madiun, but still faces various challenges in increasing income. This research aims to determine the effect of own capital, loan capital, business location, and business duration on the income of Manco Cake MSMEs in Kebonsari District.

The researcher chose Kebonsari District as the research object because it has been recorded in the Indonesian World Records Museum (MURI). This study employed a quantitative research method. The data source used was primary data, collected through questionnaires, and analyzed using multiple linear regression tests and hypothesis testing. The respondents in this study were 32 Manco Cake MSME actors in Kebonsari District.

The results of the first hypothesis test show that the own capital variable has a positive and significant effect on income, which means that the greater the amount of own capital, the higher the income, and conversely, if own capital decreases, income will also decrease. The results of the second hypothesis test show that the loan capital variable has a negative and significant effect on income, which means that the smaller the loan capital and the smoother the business operations, the higher the income. On the other hand, if loan capital increases and the business does not run efficiently, income will decrease.

The results of the third hypothesis test show that the business location variable has a positive and significant effect on income, meaning that the more strategic the business location, the higher the income. Conversely, if the business location is not strategic, income will decline. The results of the fourth hypothesis test show that the business duration variable has a positive and significant effect on income, which means that the longer the business has been running and the more experience it has gained, the higher the income. On the other hand, less business experience may reduce income.

The results of the fifth hypothesis test indicate that the variables of own capital, loan capital, business location, and business duration simultaneously show fluctuations that influence the income of Manco Cake MSMEs.
