Abstract

Abstract
The rapid development of information technology in the globalization era has driven all sectors to maximize the utilization of technology. Service delivery, such as that provided by clinics, requires high-quality service to maintain a positive public image. One common challenge is long and time-consuming queues. For instance, Palembang Clinic in Magetan Regency serves thousands of patients without an efficient service management system, particularly in queue management.
This study aims to design and implement the First Come First Served (FCFS) algorithm for an online patient queueing system at Palembang Clinic in Magetan using a web-based approach. The FCFS algorithm is chosen for its simplicity, fairness, and ease of implementation. By applying this algorithm, patients who register first are served first, ensuring a more orderly queueing process.
The research employs the Waterfall software development method, which includes stages of requirement analysis, system design, implementation, testing, and maintenance. The web-based queueing system allows patients to register online and monitor queue progress in real-time. This helps reduce overcrowding around the clinic and ensures efficiency in the queuing process. With this system, it is expected to minimize patient waiting time, enhance service efficiency, and provide a better experience for patients accessing healthcare services.
