Abstract

Fuel injection system technology is able to produce increased performance and reduce exhaust emissions by making various improvements, one of which is on the injector component. This study aims to determine the effect of the number of injector holes on power, torque, and exhaust emissions. This type of experimental research with descriptive analysis to test power, torque, and exhaust emissions with variations of 4-hole, 6-hole, and 8-hole injector holes. The results of this study indicate that the greatest power and torque are produced by the 6-hole injector variation, namely 3.52 Hp at 5250 Rpm and 5.84 Nm of torque at 4000 Rpm. Meanwhile, in the exhaust emission test, the lowest CO and HC concentrations were obtained by the 4-hole injector variation with CO levels of 0.04% and HC 104 ppm.
