Abstract

Teachers play a strategic role in improving the quality of education through the development of students’ character and competence. However, the lack of continuous training and systematic evaluation often hinders teachers’ performance from reaching its full potential. To address this challenge, Yayasan Al Furqon Ponorogo implemented the Yaumuttalaqqi Teacher Development Program—which includes training, study sessions, memorization, supervision, and performance-based evaluation—emphasizing both spiritual and professional aspects.
This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the program in improving the performance of Islamic Education (PAI) teachers at Yayasan Al Furqon Ponorogo. A quantitative approach was employed, involving 39 PAI teachers selected purposively. The independent variable (X) is the effectiveness of the development program, while the dependent variable (Y) is teacher performance, measured through pedagogical, professional, social, and personal aspects. Data were collected using valid and reliable questionnaires and performance observation sheets. Data analysis included linearity tests, paired t-tests, and the coefficient of determination.
The results show a significant linear relationship between program effectiveness and teacher performance, with a coefficient of determination (R² = 0.532) indicating that 53.2% of the variation in performance improvement can be explained by the effectiveness of the development program.
It is concluded that the Yaumuttalaqqi Teacher Development Program is effective in improving the performance of PAI teachers at Yayasan Al Furqon Ponorogo. Recommendations include expanding pedagogical innovation materials and strengthening follow-up evaluations to sustain continuous performance improvement.
